We offer 3 different stern drive winterize programs to meet your needs and budget. Our BASIC, STANDARD and PREMIUM.
Our BASIC winterize focuses on your engine and stern drive and offers you a carefree winterize at a low price. Our STANDARD winterize includes everything listed in the BASIC winterize plus it includes an oil and filter change along with a fuel filter replacement.
Our PREMIUM winterize includes everything in both our BASIC and STANDARD winterize and also includes additional maintenance items on your engine and drive along with maintenance items on your boat and trailer.
Our BASIC winterize meets manufacturer recommendations. Our STANDARD and PREMIUM winterizings exceed all manufacturer recommendations so which ever one you choose, you can be assured of a winterizing done right and designed to protect your investment.
Our Stern Drive (I/O) Winterize Programs

1. Engine is test ran. 2. Startron marine grade fuel conditioner is added to fuel tank. 3. Gear case oil is changed using premium HPF Pro or Mercruiser HP gear lube and genuine brand plug gaskets are changed. Other places charge up tp $80 extra for this. 4. All water is purged from cooling system. 5.Starbrite Premium non-toxic antifreeze is pumped through drive and engine. 6.Engine is fogged with our premium fogging, rust inhibitor and fuel conditioner mixture. Manufacturer recommended genuine formula. |
STANDARD Includes our BASIC winterize plus steps 7 AND 8. |
7. Engine oil and filter are changed using genuine marine premium grade supplies that exceed each manufacturers brand specification. 8. Fuel filter is changed using genuine manufacturer brand filters. |
PREMIUM Includes our BASIC and STANDARD winterizing plus steps 9 through 20 |
As Of November 1st, PREMIUM WINTERIZING Is No Longer Being Offered. 9. Gear case is checked for seal leakage. 10. Engine linkage is lubricated. 11. Out drive fittings are greased. 12. Steering system is checked and lubricated. 13. Power steering system is fluid filled. 14. Power trim and tilt fluid is checked and filled. 15. Wheel bearing buddies or sure lube hubs are grease purged. 16. Trailer winch and other components are inspected and lubricated. 17. Tire pressure is checked and filled. 18. Gimbal swivel steering bolts are torqued to prevent play and reduce wear. 19. Boat system components are checked. includes switches, horn, lights, instruments and pumps. 20. Battery is load tested and condition is verified. |
